Unite SharePoint and Documentum

SchemaLogic provides the capability to manage the metadata and mappings between SharePoint and Documentum so that content can be searched and transferred across systems. The metadata describing content in SharePoint is very dynamic and changes constantly as new projects, initiatives and research are introduced. In order for companies to manage these systems as a unified information management system, the metadata that describes the content in both systems must be aligned and connected.

Use SchemaLogic to Unite SharePoint and Documentum

The SchemaLogic Connector for Documentum allows companies to create and update Documentum metadata structures and link them to the metadata structures in SharePoint. The metadata hierarchies, links, attributes and relationships are maintained in SchemaServer and synchronized with the target Documentum and SharePoint systems through the SchemaLogic SharePoint and Documentum Connectors.

The Connector also includes a Compliance Monitor that allows users to visualize compliance of Documentum and SharePoint metadata against the metadata model contained in SchemaServer.

Aligning Documentum Repositories

SchemaLogic can increase the performance and reduce the maintenance of Documentum deployments by aligning the metadata across repositories.

Many organizations have deployed multiple Documentum repositories, however, there is no facility to connect and align the metadata definitions across repositories. While it might be possible to create a corporate-wide metadata model that rationalizes the metadata across these repositories, this model would be impossible to maintain as the metadata is continuously changing in each system.

SchemaLogic solves this problem by providing a model that links object types and attributes across repositories. This model allows individual groups to maintain their own metadata definitions within their repository, while providing an enterprise-wide model that aligns and connects the metadata across repositories. The SchemaLogic Compliance Monitor can then monitor each repository to ensure that it is in compliance with established metadata definitions.

Aligning Documentum Repositories

Managing Documentum Value Assistance Lists

The EMC Documentum Connector also imports and manages Data Dictionary value assistance lists for each attribute defined in one or more EMC Documentum repositories. This means that any object type linked to the SchemaLogic base model object type definition will be updated as the value assistance values are changed. The Compliance Monitor report will then show compliance of the Data Dictionary value assistance lists with the values as defined in the SchemaLogic base model.
